The Brigham Young University-Idaho Department of Music is inviting community members to join in singing Handel's Messiah on Dec. 13. The University Choir and Symphony Orchestra will present the selection, encouraging audience members to participate in each chorus.

A limited number of scores will be available for checkout at the door, but patrons are encouraged to obtain their own score from a local music store.

"Every three years, the sing-along provides an opportunity to come together and celebrate the true spirit of Christmas," said Randall Kempton, a faculty member in the Department of Music.

The event will begin at 7 p.m. in the Oscar A. Kirkham Auditorium. Admission is free. However, tickets should be obtained beforehand from the BYU-Idaho Ticket Office.
