Brigham Young University-Idaho is proud to welcome Jon M. Huntsman, Sr., to speak at the Newel K. Whitney Summit on Oct. 21.


The Newel K. Whitney Summit provides an opportunity for students to hear from notable men and women in the workforce who share their professional experiences and advice. This semester the College of Business and Communication is pleased to welcome Jon M. Huntsman, Sr., as the keynote speaker at the University Forum. Huntsman is the founder and executive chairman of Huntsman Corporation. Presentations will be given earlier that day by Jeff Benedict, author, lawyer and investigative journalist; Tracy Joost, president of BCCN INC. (ABC Baby Furniture); and Paul Taggart, co-founder of OGIO International, and business, real estate and computer information technology innovator.

 

The day's events will begin with a panel discussion at 8:30 a.m. in the Taylor Chapel. Following this interactive discussion, breakout sessions will be offered at 9:30, 10:30, and 11:30 a.m. in the John Taylor Building. Huntsman will speak at 2 p.m. in the Taylor Chapel with overflow locations in Taylor 120, 130, the Hinckley Chapel and the Kirkham Auditorium.
