Center Stage announces fall performing arts lineup

The Center Stage Performing Arts Series at Brigham Young University-Idaho has announced its fall lineup, opening Sept. 20 with the Chinese Opera Orchestra of Shanghai performing with traditional Chinese instruments.

 

Ryan Shupe and the RubberBand will perform Sept. 23, followed by pop singer David Osmond on Oct. 7. Grammy Award-winning organist Paul Jacobs from Julliard will play the Ruffatti organ on Oct. 15.

 

The Golden Dragon Acrobats from China will be featured Nov. 5; and The Imani Winds, a wind quintet from New York, will perform Nov. 11.

 

Broadway singer Brian Stokes Mitchell will be featured in "A BYU-Idaho Christmas" along with the BYU-Idaho choirs and orchestra. The concert featuring more than 300 students will be held in the BYU-Idaho Center Dec. 3.

 

"Swingin' Christmas" featuring Miami saxophone player Ed Calle and the BYU-Idaho Sound Alliance jazz band will perform Dec. 10.
