Pianist and entertainer Marvin Goldstein will perform Friday, July 30, as part of Brigham Young University-Idaho's Education Week lineup.
Goldstein began musical training at age 9 and by 18 was awarded a music scholarship to Tel Aviv University School of Music in Tel Aviv, Israel. He continued his formal training at the Mozarteum of Salzburg, Austria, and completed his education with bachelor and master of music degrees at Florida State University.
He has recorded over 30 compact discs including popular music, patriotic melodies, show tunes, sacred music and love songs.
He will be joined by singer Vanessa Joy, who earned a music degree from Brigham Young University and also was a member of Showtime Company at Ricks College. Some of her musical selections will be featured on a soon-to-be-released DVD containing artwork by Greg Olsen and music by Goldstein.
