The Brigham Young University-Idaho Department of Agribusiness, Plant and Animal Sciences will host its 34th annual Small Grains and Forages Field Day on Thursday, July 15. Presentations will be held in the Ag Engineering Building on campus beginning at 9 a.m.; registration for the event will begin at 8:30 a.m.

The field day will include presentations on optimum planting sizes, hydroponics, and alfalfa production. Presentations will also discuss different potato and wheat varieties that can be grown in the area.

According to faculty member Greg Blaser, the field day is meant to provide information about agriculture to the local community. "We, as students and faculty, want to share the things that we are learning with others, and this is the perfect way to do it."

The field day is open to anyone who would like to attend. For more information, call 496-4522.
