Singer Alex Boyé will be the featured guest artist at the third annual "Patriots and Pioneers" musical tribute at Brigham Young University-Idaho in Rexburg on Saturday, July 14, at 7:30 p.m.
The performance of patriotic and spiritual music will be held in the 15,000-seat BYU-Idaho Center. It will feature several hundred BYU-Idaho students, including the BYU-Idaho Men's Choir, Women's Choir, Collegiate Singers and the University Band.
Boyé, who is a member of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, was born in London, England, and became an American citizen earlier this year. Besides singing, he will speak about his American citizenship.
Tickets are $6 for the general public and $3 for BYU-Idaho students or by calling 496-3170 or ordering online at tickets.byui.edu. The concert is open to those 6 years of age and older. A preshow dinner will be held at 6 p.m. in the Manwaring Center Special Events Room for $15 extra.
