RawMoves dance company from Salt Lake City will perform in the Oscar A. Kirkham Auditorium at Brigham Young University-Idaho Feb. 19.

RawMoves connects people from all walks of life by presenting dance in innovative and diverse ways. They accomplish this by creating collaborative art experiences that challenge, educate and evaluate the artistic process.

The company will present "The Story of Eight" - eight props and eight dancers who come together in an evening of dance filled with vibrant and poetic images.

Their artistic ideas and explorations present the "raw" elements of our lives today in such a way that the audience is moved to a response. "This response may be excitement, anger, sadness, frustration or laughter, but hopefully you will never feel ambivalent," said Washington, a former dance student at BYU-Idaho.

The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $6 for BYU-Idaho students and $12 for the general public. Tickets may be ordered by phone at 496-2230 or online at www.byui.edu/tickets.
