Brigham Young University-Idaho has a new human resources director. Kevin Price, most recently from Sheridan, Wyo., has replaced Carla Ricks, who retired after 22 years of employment at the university.
Prior to his employment at BYU-Idaho, Price was the human resources director at Northern Wyoming Community College in Sheridan for six years and held multiple human resources positions at Salt Lake Community College, where he worked for 10 years. Price, originally from La Jara, Colo., received his bachelor's degree in human resource management from Utah State University and then attended University of Phoenix receiving his master’s in business administration.
“The reason I went into human resources is because I can make a difference in a person’s life. Throughout the entire process, from hiring to employee relations, I am working with the individual,” said Price. “The HR staff here is amazing, and they have put together systems that are quite remarkable. It is a great position for me to come into.”
