Ron Anderson

Biography

Ronald Dean Anderson is a teacher of religion at Brigham Young University-Idaho. He has been married to Jill Bestor for 33 years and they have 5 children. He has a PhD in Middle Eastern Studies with an emphasis in Hebrew. Brother Anderson takes tours to Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Europe and Church History sites. He is currently serving as the Area Family History Assistant Director.

Class Outline

We will learn how to use Roots Magic and find names of family members to take to the temple.

In class, we will learn how to:

  • Download Roots Magic 6
  • Enter our lds.org number to connect to Family Search
  • Download names of ancestors whose temple ordinances need to be done
  • Create a filter
  • Vet the names
  • Reserve the names in Family Search
  • Create a Family Ordinance Report Form
  • Print the Family Ordinance Report Form
  • Take the names to the temple
