BYU-Idaho uses an online transcript request website for ordering transcripts. Transcripts may not be ordered by e-mail, phone, mail, or fax.
There’s no catch. Electronic transcripts are less expensive to process and send. Because paper transcripts are more expensive to process and mail, there is a fee associated with ordering a paper transcript.
Both are official transcripts. Some entities accept paper and electronic. Others accept paper only and other entities electronic only. It is important to know what method is preferred by your recipient.

Yes, you may order a paper transcript by visiting the Student Records & Registration office in Kimball 190. Your hard copy transcript will be printed and handed to you immediately.
Electronic documents must be opened with Adobe Reader or Adobe Acrobat.
- Click the link in the email you received. This will open a browser window.
- Follow the onscreen instructions and you will then receive a second email that contains the document passcode. Keep the browser window open because you will need it when you are ready to enter the passcode.
- Open the second email. Copy the passcode and paste it into the space provided in the browser window you kept open.
- Click the Download button. The file will be downloaded to your computer.
