Gathering together for religious instruction is a vital part of a BYU-Idaho education. Each Tuesday afternoon, the campus community assembles in the BYU-Idaho Center for devotional. In these worship services, students and employees come together to hear words of counsel and inspiration from a variety of specially selected speakers, including leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, faculty and administrators from both BYU-Idaho and its sister institutions in the Church Educational System, and other gospel scholars.
This weekly gathering allows students to step away briefly from the rigors of academic life to receive a spiritually refreshing message. Devotional also helps foster in the campus community a sense of unity and shared commitment to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Devotional addresses are archived online as a gospel study resource and are recorded for later broadcast on BYU Television.
